news & notes:

July, 2007
Lightning struck  a big oak tree near our future driveway.  It spiraled down the tree, ripping off bark and scorching limbs.

April 28, 2007:   Kevin, Lindsay, and I went to visit the Clarks in Louisianna. Nephews Ethan and Noah are growing up fast.

March 31, 2007 Kevin gets our garden veggies started with his tomato plants his dad brought over. Last year's turned out delicious.

Lindsay's latest learning leaps

lindsay with walking toyJune &July: Lindsay starts her morning with finger foods, followed by some playtime.  With her sipppy cup nearby, she cruises around the nursery. She says hey, and dada frequently.  Waving byebye started at the end of July along with a second or two of standing alone.  Another few teeth have made an appearance, bringing the count to 5. Pictured here, Lindsay wants me to set up her walk-behind toy for a trip across the room (it's really a thrill for her to walk now.)  She has mastered playing with most of her toys, so I have to keep buying to keep up with her.

lindsay standing up in cribMay: The 10th was a big day. Kevin discovered Lindsay had cut her first tooth, and then watched as she crawled forward for the first time. Now she's crawling faster and keeps up with Joshua, her 9 month old playmate. The menu has changed too. It's not all baby food anymore.  Biscuits are a favorite, but she will eat just about any soft fruit in chunks.  See May photos

lindsay with RayApril:Lindsay is getting ready to take off...she has learned how to rock back and forth on her hands and knees.  I guess I'd better step up the babyproofing.  At Easter Granddaddy showed me how to remove just about any stain from clothing...palmolive liquid dishwashing soap. It removed carrot stains from Lindsay's hat before my eyes.  See April photos

lindsay on floorMarch: On the go... Lindsay is now a pro at rolling.  She can roll /scoot/ or otherwise wiggle to get wherever she wants.  She plays with all the toys on her excersaucer.  Bouncing is still her favorite thing.  It's sure to get smiles & laughs out of her.  See March photos
